Certifide Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant at AdventHealth supports daily clinical operations at the TM Healing Plaza outpatient clinic in Wesley Chapel, Florida. ### What you'll do - Room patients, collect vital signs, document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies following nursing protocols - Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining open communication to support quality care - Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results - Monitor nursing supplies and equipment functionality, reporting maintenance needs to leadership - Conduct training sessions, review patient care protocols, and ensure compliance with infection prevention guidelines - Delegate duties to office staff and manage day-to-day operational issues to meet clinic quality, regulatory, billing, and customer service standards ### What we're looking for - Active certification required: CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in vital signs, specimen collection, and body substance isolation - Bilingual English/Spanish a plus ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
