About this role
A Telephonic Certified Medical Assistant at AdventHealth's AHMG Health Optimization Center supports ambulatory care teams in Orlando, Florida, delivering patient care coordination and clinical support across a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation per established protocols
- Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results accurately in the designated practice system
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions
- Assist with minor procedures and ensure timely, accurate documentation at the time of service
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment to maintain adequate stock
- Support closure of care gaps and provide whole-person care during patient encounters
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of chronic disease management and medical terminology
- Proficiency with computers and ability to navigate complex healthcare systems
