About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for a primary care clinic in Apopka, Florida, serving patients across a full-availability weekday and weekend schedule. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the EMR at the time of service - Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure accurate procedural documentation - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate guidance - Monitor inventory, maintain medical equipment, and enforce OSHA and organizational compliance standards - Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus (when applicable) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth operates a primary care clinic at Colonial Shoppes in Apopka, FL, offering extended weekday and weekend hours to serve the local community.
