About this role
A full-time day-shift Registered Nurse role on the Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU) at AdventHealth Winter Park in Winter Park, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive physiological, psychological, and sociocultural patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and maintaining patient safety.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective team communication.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care activities.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- EKG interpretation ability per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and abstract-reasoning skills for dynamic patient-care environments.

The MPCU provides step-down level care for patients requiring continuous monitoring and skilled nursing intervention between the ICU and general medical floors.
