About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant supports outpatient clinic operations at AdventHealth's medical office in Dade City, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the EHR
- Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation at the time of service
- Administer medications, collect labs, and close care gaps during patient visits
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment; travel as needed to support staffing across clinic locations
### What we're looking for
- Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment
