AdventHealth DeLand is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Cardiac Med/Surg unit on the day shift in DeLand, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and oversee venous access procedures within RN scope, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on individual patient responses.
- Assess patient conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and manage complications as they arise.
- Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical standards.
- Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to support professional growth and career progression.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- At least 1 year of charge nurse or relevant nursing leadership experience (preferred).
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage unit operations, productivity, and financial practices.
