CMA Float II

A Certified Medical Assistant Float II joins AdventHealth's outpatient medical office team in Davenport, Florida, providing clinical and administrative support across multiple clinic sites. ### What you'll do - Room patients, record vital signs, take medical histories, and perform medication reconciliation prior to provider visits - Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, ECGs, ear lavage, vaccine administration, and wound care assistance - Manage front office functions including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient check-in and check-out - Complete chart preparation and abstraction, ensuring lab, imaging, and referral information is available before visits - Handle prior authorizations, worker's compensation paperwork, CLIA compliance logs, and instrument sterilization documentation - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions, and administer prescribed medications and treatments ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a technical/vocational medical assistant program - Minimum 2 years of medical office experience - Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work within a matrix reporting structure ### What's included - Pay range: $17.50–$28.00/hour ($36,400–$58,240 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with a strong ambulatory care network throughout Central Florida.
