About this role
AdventHealth Porter is hiring a Senior Physician Informatics Advocate at its Denver, Colorado facility to serve as a senior clinical informatics resource supporting provider EMR workflows across the health system.
### What you'll do
- Conduct regular touch points with medical staff to share application tips and guide best practices for workflow efficiency
- Provide 24/7 on-call support for providers and extenders, with availability to travel nationally for major system implementations
- Lead clinical informatics projects for assigned areas, including evaluating enhancement requests, analyzing information, and presenting recommendations to operational teams
- Round with providers during care delivery to assess EMR functionality, document workflow needs, and log enhancement requests
- Deliver didactic training, mentor new Advocate orientees, and collaborate with managers on professional development and readiness assessments
- Drive change management strategy by communicating the rationale for system changes and fostering a positive, solution-oriented culture
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in Informatics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare, or Respiratory Therapy
- 5+ years of combined clinical and informatics experience required
- Demonstrated experience with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- Advanced knowledge of provider workflows including CPOE and clinical documentation
- Expert conflict management, critical thinking, and professional written and oral communication skills
