About this role
AdventHealth Altamonte Springs is hiring a full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse for nights at its acute care hospital in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate conditions and care needs across multiple units.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as ordered.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel to ensure safe, therapeutic, and policy-compliant care delivery.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and procedures to support understanding and compliance.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries; monitor lab trends and report abnormal results.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Proficiency with clinical equipment including IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and electronic medical record navigation skills.
