About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's primary care clinic team at 6606 Simmons Loop in Riverview, Florida, supporting day-to-day clinical operations on a full-time day schedule. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation for each patient visit. - Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results accurately in the practice's designated system. - Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure documentation is completed at the time of service. - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear and accurate guidance. - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and confidentiality of patient and employee information. - Monitor inventory and ensure medical equipment and supplies remain stocked and functional. ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required). - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification. - High school diploma or equivalent. - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred). - Working knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and patient advocacy. - Full availability Monday–Friday, 7 am–7 pm; shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours as needed. ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth operates a network of primary care clinics throughout Florida, providing community-based outpatient care grounded in whole-person health.
