About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant supports primary care clinic operations at AdventHealth's University Professional Center in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Assist with minor procedures, initiate testing, and document results in the practice's designated system
- Administer medications, collect labs, and provide patient education on tests, medications, and diet
- Close care gaps and coordinate whole-person care throughout each office visit
- Monitor inventory and ensure medical equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and functional
- Maintain OSHA compliance and organizational safety standards
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts
- Strong computer skills and ability to work independently within scope of certification
