About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant supports primary care clinic operations at AdventHealth's University Professional Center in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures, document results in the EMR at time of service, and close care gaps - Administer medications, collect labs, and initiate diagnostic testing as ordered - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and inventory of supplies and equipment - Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating more than 50 hospitals and hundreds of outpatient clinics across the United States.
