Certified Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant position at AdventHealth Medical Group is available at the Pavilion Westchase clinic in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice system - Ensure efficient office flow across a weekday 7am–7pm and Saturday 8am–5pm availability window (40 hrs/week) - Travel as needed to support staffing needs and clinic operations - Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and annual clinical competency requirements - Apply knowledge of chronic disease management and patient advocacy to support care teams in a fast-paced environment ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health record systems - Ability to work independently within scope of certification and exercise sound clinical judgment ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $17.11–$27.38 ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Medical Group operates the Pavilion Westchase outpatient clinic at 10987 Sheldon Rd, Tampa, FL 33626, serving patients across the greater Tampa Bay area.
