About this role
AdventHealth Hendersonville is hiring a part-time Patient Transporter for day/evening shifts (2p–10:30p, 2.5 days per week) at its hospital campus in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
### What you'll do
- Safely transfer patients between beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, and cribs throughout the facility
- Transport patient belongings, paperwork, lab specimens, and medical equipment efficiently
- Maintain clear hallways by relocating unused equipment to designated storage areas
- Accurately document transport activity using the department's Transportation system
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, and physicians to minimize care delays
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain competency with transport equipment and protocols
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (required)
- Valid driver's license (preferred)
- 1+ year of public-contact experience in a medical setting (preferred)
- Physical ability to walk, stand, push, pull, and assist with patient transfers for extended periods
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and oral communication) and basic computer skills
