A Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner role at AdventHealth Minneola in Minneola, Florida, focused on clinical education, competency validation, and evidence-based practice for nursing staff.
### What you'll do
- Design, implement, and coordinate onboarding orientation for nurses and ancillary staff new to the unit using ANPD standards and the NPD Practice Model.
- Facilitate competency validation activities including coaching, simulation, and objective/subjective performance assessment for new and experienced nurses.
- Support evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives using structured frameworks such as PDSA cycles.
- Disseminate evidence-based findings through educational programs, courses, and unit-level learning activities.
- Adjust educational strategies based on learner developmental level, readiness, language, and cultural preferences.
- Serve as a resource for clinical inquiry, research identification, and collaborative problem-solving with unit leadership.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Working knowledge of ANA/ANPD scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development.
- Prior preceptor experience and/or formal or informal teaching experience preferred.
