Certified Patient Care Technician FT Days

AdventHealth DeLand is hiring a full-time Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) for day-shift inpatient care at its DeLand, Florida hospital. ### What you'll do - Perform patient care treatments per policy, accounting for patient age, mobility, acuity, and cultural needs - Assist in delivering bedside care under the direction of a registered nurse - Participate in obtaining nursing histories and report abnormal findings to the RN - Document all procedures in accordance with department policy - Follow isolation protocols, use appropriate PPE, and enforce safety regulations - Support quality improvement initiatives and adapt to practice changes as they arise ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following certifications (required): CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT - At least 1 year of PCT or equivalent patient care experience (preferred) - Prior acute care bedside experience, unit secretary, or monitor technician background (preferred) - Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hr ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one - Paid time off beginning on day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth DeLand is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
