About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant (Practice-Based) at AdventHealth Highland Lakes Medical Center supports outpatient clinic operations in Palm Harbor, Florida on a Monday–Friday day shift.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care-gap closure during office visits.
- Assist with minor procedures, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results accurately in Epic at the time of service.
- Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions.
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and organizational policy standards.
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment to support uninterrupted clinic flow.
- Travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs across clinic locations.
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and patient advocacy.
- 2+ years of related medical assistant experience (preferred); endocrinology (ENDO) experience a plus.
- Epic EMR experience and bilingual ability preferred.
