About this role
A full-time day-shift Registered Nurse (Med/Surg) role at AdventHealth DeLand, a faith-based health system hospital in DeLand, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication across the team.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and accurate, timely medical record documentation.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and clinical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform EKG interpretation per unit requirements and navigate Windows-based computer systems.
