About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Certified Medical Assistant for its Family Medicine clinic in Brevard, North Carolina. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures and document results accurately in the practice's EHR at time of service - Administer medications, collect labs, initiate testing, and support closure of care gaps during patient visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions in a clear and accurate manner - Monitor and manage clinical inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and properly functioning equipment - Provide Friday afternoon phone coverage on a rotating basis (12pm–5pm) ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - Proficiency with computers and healthcare information systems ### What's included - Pay range: $16.42–$26.27/hour (~$34,154–$54,642 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and continuing education support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
