About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a part-time Certified Medical Assistant for its Family Medicine clinic in Brevard, North Carolina.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Assist with minor procedures and document results accurately in the practice's EHR at time of service
- Administer medications, collect labs, initiate testing, and support closure of care gaps during patient visits
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions in a clear and accurate manner
- Monitor and manage clinical inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and properly functioning equipment
- Provide Friday afternoon phone coverage on a rotating basis (12pm–5pm)
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management
- Proficiency with computers and healthcare information systems
