About this role

AdventHealth Avista is hiring a PRN Med-Surg Registered Nurse for night shifts at its Louisville, Colorado campus. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. - Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care and patient outcomes. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and understanding. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and maintain effective communication. - Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and accurate, timely medical-record documentation. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado. - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). - Proficiency in EKG interpretation per unit requirements and ability to navigate Windows-based EMR systems. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and abstract-reasoning skills for dynamic patient-care environments. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $34.26–$59.24 (approximately $71,261–$123,219 annualized at 2,080 hours). - PRN/per-diem scheduling flexibility on night shift. - Access to AdventHealth's professional-development and performance-improvement programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Avista is a community hospital in Louisville, Colorado, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health systems in the United States.
