A Certified Medical Assistant supporting an Infectious Disease clinic at AdventHealth in Rome, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation for infectious disease patients.
- Assist with minor procedures specific to the specialty and ensure accurate same-day documentation in the EHR.
- Administer medications, initiate laboratory testing, and document results per policy.
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions.
- Monitor and manage clinical inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning equipment.
- Maintain OSHA compliance and organizational safety standards throughout all clinic operations.
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred).
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
