AdventHealth Riverview is hiring a full-time Infection Preventionist at its hospital campus in Riverview, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct surveillance and reporting using technology platforms, maintaining data integrity and submitting results to applicable regulatory systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners — including public health officials, healthcare coalitions, and vendors — to strengthen infection prevention outcomes.
- Advocate for evidence-based infection control practices in alignment with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives, distinguishing between QI and research activities and disseminating findings through education and consultation.
- Support product evaluation and cost-effectiveness projects, contributing to business case development and organizational decision-making.
### What we're looking for
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, infection control, or public health.
- Infection Control Certification (CIC) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders.

### About the practice
AdventHealth Riverview is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission rooted in whole-person care. The Riverview campus serves the growing Tampa Bay South corridor and operates as a full-service acute care hospital. The Infection Prevention team works Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in a structured and collaborative environment.
