About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a Float Certified Medical Assistant for its Primary Care+ clinics serving Clermont, Winter Garden, Celebration, Four Corners, and Davenport, Florida. ### What you'll do - Travel across multiple primary care clinic locations to fulfill staffing needs and support daily operations - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care-gap closure - Assist with minor procedures, document results in the EMR at the time of service, and initiate diagnostic testing - Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and diet in clear, accurate terms - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and inventory of supplies and medical equipment - Support the care team by assisting patients, visitors, and colleagues in a fast-paced environment ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts - Full availability weekdays 7:30 am–8:00 pm and weekends 7:30 am–5:00 pm (40 hours/week scheduled) ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour (~$35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus (when applicable) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states, with a mission rooted in whole-person care of body, mind, and spirit.
