About this role

AdventHealth Polk is hiring a PRN Clinical Pharmacist at its Columbus, NC campus to provide direct patient care and medication management services across inpatient pharmacy settings. ### What you'll do - Review and monitor medication orders and patient profiles to prevent, identify, and resolve drug-related problems, including pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments - Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and support transitions of care from admission through discharge and follow-up - Provide safe, timely, and cost-effective medication therapy while actively contributing to stewardship, surveillance, and restricted-use programs - Supervise, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and residents - Identify, report, and help resolve medication safety events, adverse drug reactions, and medication errors - Perform all pharmacist functions including compounding, dispensing, verification, and documentation across central, satellite, and IV areas ### What we're looking for - Active Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) in North Carolina required - Bachelor's degree in pharmacy required; PharmD preferred - 1+ year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred - Proficiency with electronic health records, pharmacy informatics systems, and medication automation - Strong organizational, interpersonal, and clinical communication skills - Additional licensure or certification may be required depending on specific unit placement ### What's included - Pay range: $48.45–$90.11/hr ($100,776–$187,429 annualized at 2,080 hours) - PRN/per-diem schedule, day shift - AdventHealth system benefits eligibility per PRN policy ### About the practice AdventHealth Polk is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network with a mission centered on whole-person care.
