About this role

AdventHealth Castle Rock is hiring a contract Med-Surg RN for night shifts (36 hrs/week) at its Castle Rock, Colorado hospital. ### What you'll do - Conduct thorough, ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based plans of care aligned with interdisciplinary goals. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all interventions accurately and timely. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs. - Collaborate with physicians and staff to support timely patient admission, discharge, and transfer per hospital policy. - Ensure safe handoff communication, follow CDC isolation guidelines, and demonstrate appropriate PPE use. - Participate in quality and safety initiatives that improve the delivery of nursing services. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado. - Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - Trauma Nurse Course Certification (TNCC) preferred. - Strong abstract reasoning skills to evaluate interventions and revise plans of care based on patient outcomes. ### What's included - Contract pay rate of $68.60/hour (~$142,688 annualized at 36 hrs/week). - Night shift differential built into the stated rate. - Opportunity to work within a faith-based, mission-driven health system. ### About the practice AdventHealth Castle Rock is part of AdventHealth, a large faith-based nonprofit health system operating across multiple states.
