About this role
A part-time Registered Nurse role on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, working day-weekend shifts.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Kansas licensure or eligibility required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- EKG competency per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to use abstract reasoning to evaluate and revise care plans.
