About this role
A PRN nights Registered Nurse position on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Medical floor at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and ensure effective interdisciplinary communication.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing interventions to stabilize patients and maintain accurate medical record documentation.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- EKG competency per unit requirements; advanced life support certifications as applicable.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with proficiency in English (read, verbal, written).

- Pay range: $32.50–$60.45/hour ($67,600–$125,736 annualized equivalent).
