About this role

A Float Certified Medical Assistant role supporting primary care clinics across Polk County, Florida with AdventHealth, based in Haines City, FL. ### What you'll do - Float across Celebration, Davenport, Haines City, and Winter Haven clinic locations to meet staffing needs - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Administer medications, collect labs, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the EMR - Assist with minor procedures and support closure of care gaps during patient visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions - Monitor inventory and ensure medical supplies and equipment are adequately stocked and functional ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of medical assistant or related clinical experience (preferred) - Knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and patient advocacy - Full availability weekdays 8am–8pm and weekends 8am–5pm (scheduled at 40 hours/week) ### What's included - Pay range: $16.51–$26.42/hour (~$34,341–$54,954 annualized) - Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus (where applicable) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid time off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Mental health and well-being resources, plus pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating primary care clinics throughout Central Florida, including the Polk County market served by this float position.
