Unit Coordinator PRN (as needed)

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Unit Coordinator for night shift coverage at its Hinsdale, Illinois hospital campus. ### What you'll do - Coordinate unit operations including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges with timely documentation in the electronic health record - Notify physicians and ancillary departments as clinical needs arise and route appropriate information to patient charts - Receive and secure medications upon arrival to the floor by accessing the medication room - Post pertinent patient data and interact with patients in a manner appropriate to their age, acuity, and cultural background - Respond appropriately in emergency situations and support department quality and performance improvement initiatives ### What we're looking for - Minimum 1 year of recent hospital experience or equivalent as a health unit coordinator, medical office, or outpatient clinic role - High school diploma, GED, or completion of a Health Unit Coordinator course - Working knowledge of medical terminology and strong organizational skills - Computer and typing proficiency; Microsoft Office knowledge preferred - Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification ### What's included - Pay range: $17.17–$27.46 per hour (~$35,714–$57,117 annualized equivalent) - PRN schedule: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shifts with rotating weekend coverage (1 weekend per 6 weeks) ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale is a faith-based community hospital located in Hinsdale, Illinois, operating as part of the larger AdventHealth system.
