About this role

A Float Certified Medical Assistant supports primary care clinic operations across multiple AdventHealth locations in Orange County, Florida, including Orlando, Waterford Lakes, and Winter Garden. ### What you'll do - Float across primary care clinics throughout Orange County to fulfill staffing needs and maintain efficient office flow - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care gap closure - Assist with minor procedures, document results in the EMR at the time of service, and administer medications - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate communication - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and confidentiality of patient and employee information - Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment across supported clinics ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of medical assistant or related clinical experience (preferred) - Knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and patient advocacy - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced, multi-site environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour (~$35,589–$56,950 annually) - Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus (where applicable) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mileage and toll reimbursement for travel between clinic locations ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with a strong presence in Central Florida through its CentraCare primary care network.
