About this role
AdventHealth Heart of Florida is hiring new graduate Registered Nurses into its Summer Nurse Residency program, based in Davenport, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform timely, comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care with measurable short- and long-range goals; modify plans based on ongoing evaluation.
- Interpret diagnostic data — including lab results, non-invasive monitoring, and interdisciplinary notes — relative to patient age and condition.
- Administer medications safely and adhere to infection prevention standards and all pertinent regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with the full interdisciplinary team, conduct hourly rounding, and promote a positive patient and family experience.
- Participate in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and all required continuing education.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- New RN graduate or RN with fewer than 12 months of experience.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required within 6 months of hire; current BLS preferred at time of application).
- EKG competency per facility and unit requirements.
- Prior experience as a CNA, Student Nurse Tech, Triage Tech, or EMT in an acute care setting is preferred.

The Davenport campus serves the greater Central Florida region, providing acute inpatient care across a range of medical and surgical specialties. The Nurse Residency program is structured to support new graduates in building clinical competency and confidence during the critical first year of practice.
