About this role

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Med/Surg Cardiac unit at AdventHealth Waterman provides direct bedside care under registered nurse supervision on the night shift in Tavares, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments and deliver patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and cultural background - Assist the nursing team with identifying patient needs, obtaining nursing histories, and reporting abnormalities to the RN - Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy - Function appropriately during clinical emergencies and support quality and performance improvement initiatives - Follow isolation protocols, apply personal protective equipment correctly, and enforce safety regulations - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff throughout the night shift ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - At least 1 year of PCT or applicable patient care experience (preferred) - Prior bedside experience in an acute care unit, unit secretary, or monitor technician role (preferred) - Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour (~$33,009–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Waterman is a faith-based acute care hospital located in Tavares, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system serving communities across the southeastern United States.
