Certified Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant role at AdventHealth supports outpatient clinic operations at the Lake Wales, Florida location on State Road 60 East. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures, initiate testing, and document results accurately in the practice system - Administer medications, collect labs, and support closure of care gaps during office visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety policies, and confidentiality of patient and employee information - Monitor inventory and ensure medical equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and functional ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMAC, or NRCMA - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $16.51–$26.42 ($34,341–$54,954 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating clinics and hospitals across the United States.
