About this role

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is hiring full-time Registered Nurses for acute care inpatient roles at its hospital in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Evaluate and update the nursing plan of care based on ongoing patient assessment and diagnosis - Communicate patient responses to the medical-nursing plan with physicians and interdisciplinary team members - Record and access patient information accurately in the electronic medical record - Assist providers with bedside procedures and perform assigned unit duties to support smooth department operations - Adhere to medication safety policies, CDC isolation guidelines, and hand-hygiene protocols - Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required - Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting required - Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred - ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications preferred - Strong organizational, multitasking, and verbal communication skills - Demonstrated critical thinking ability and team-oriented practice ### What's included - Compensation range: $32.50–$60.45/hr ($67,600–$125,736 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
