About this role
A Monitor Technician (Night Shift) position is open at AdventHealth Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills, Florida, supporting inpatient telemetry monitoring on a full-time night schedule.
### What you'll do
- Observe cardiac monitors continuously, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns throughout each shift.
- Notify nursing staff promptly of any rhythm abnormalities detected on telemetry.
- Maintain and verify that monitor alarms are set and audible at the start of every shift, troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Document patient monitoring activity in accordance with department policy and maintain the telemetry logbook.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and support departmental quality standards through accurate documentation.
### What we're looking for
- Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth's Monitor Technician training program (or equivalent).
- 1+ year of monitor tech experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
