Certified Medical Assistant Float

A Certified Medical Assistant Float role at AdventHealth serves ambulatory care clinics in Ormond Beach, Florida, supporting providers across multiple practice locations on a full-time day shift. ### What you'll do - Interview patients, measure and record vital signs, and document encounters including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions - Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and assist providers with ordered treatments under supervision - Transcribe patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology studies, and medications - Provide patient education, including explanation of risks and benefits associated with care plans - Perform basic clerical duties — answering phones, maintaining records, filing, and ordering and stocking supplies - Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and ensure compliance with clinical policies ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Customer service experience in a medical office setting (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating hospitals and ambulatory care sites across the United States, with a strong presence throughout Florida.
