Certified Medical Assistant Practice Based

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (Practice-Based) for its outpatient clinic at 151 Victoria Commons Blvd in DeLand, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice system - Administer medications, collect labs, and assist with minor procedures while ensuring accurate same-day documentation - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions - Maintain OSHA compliance, office safety policies, and organizational standards - Monitor and manage supply inventory and verify medical equipment is functioning properly ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - 1+ year of medical assistant or related clinical experience (preferred) - Proficiency in medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EMR/computer systems - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr (~$35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Up to $2,500 sign-on bonus - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with facilities across multiple states, committed to whole-person care encompassing body, mind, and spirit.
