About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its KC Metro Area clinic locations, including Shawnee Mission and Lenexa, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Room patients, obtain vital signs, document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies following nursing protocols - Assist physicians with examinations and procedures and maintain open communication to support quality care - Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results - Monitor nursing supplies and equipment functionality, reporting maintenance needs to leadership - Serve as the daily point of contact for front-line clinic operations, delegating duties and resolving operational issues - Conduct training sessions, review patient care protocols, and ensure compliance with infection prevention guidelines ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Proficiency in vital signs, body substance isolation, and specimen collection - Bilingual English/Spanish skills (preferred) ### What's included - $10,000 sign-on bonus - Pay range: $17.52–$28.04/hr ($36,442–$58,323 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one; 4 weeks fully paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple KC Metro Area outpatient clinic locations, including Shawnee Mission, Lenexa City Center, South Overland Park, Prairie Star, and Spring Hill.
