About this role
AdventHealth is hiring new graduate Registered Nurses into its Summer 2026 Nurse Residency Program across six Tampa Bay campuses — Carrollwood, Connerton, North Pinellas, Riverview, Tampa, and Wesley Chapel — in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform timely, comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented plans of care; reassess and modify as patient conditions evolve.
- Interpret diagnostic data including lab results, non-invasive monitoring, and interdisciplinary notes relative to patient age and condition.
- Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, adhering to nationally recognized standards and a code of ethics.
- Participate in practice changes, process improvement initiatives, and unit quality standards.
- Conduct hourly rounding and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and visitors to support a strong patient experience.
### What we're looking for
- New RN graduate or Registered Nurse with fewer than 1 year of clinical experience.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's of Nursing preferred.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire (current BLS preferred at time of application).
- EKG competency (based on facility and unit requirement).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills with ability to function as a team member.
- Prior experience as a CNA, Student Nurse Tech, Triage Tech, or EMT in an acute care setting is preferred.

The Nurse Residency Program offers structured onboarding with cohort start dates running May through September 2026, with 12-hour shift availability across days and nights depending on unit and location.
