Certified Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's outpatient clinic team at the Port Orange Health Park in Port Orange, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation in the practice's designated system - Administer medications, initiate testing, and document results at the time of service - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions - Monitor and manage supply inventory and ensure medical equipment is functioning - Maintain OSHA compliance and uphold patient and employee confidentiality standards ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - Knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - At least 1 year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Proficiency with computers and ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Sign-on bonus: up to $2,500 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Port Orange Health Park is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across multiple states.
