About this role
A full-time night-shift Registered Nurse position at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, a faith-based health system serving Altamonte Springs, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual patient needs.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care to promote understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing interventions to stabilize patients and maintaining compliance with infection control and safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; BSN preferred (ADN accepted).
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to delegate and supervise care team members.
- Proficiency in abstract clinical reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions, and revise care plans.
- Fluency in English (read, verbal, and written); basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows-based programs.
