About this role
A Physician Practice Clinical Coordinator role at AdventHealth supports day-to-day clinical operations at a medical office building in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Review patient charts proactively to identify gaps in care, insurance, orders, coding, and referrals
- Manage patient care by monitoring InBasket, schedules, lab and radiology results, and maintaining timely communication with patients regarding surgery, prescriptions, and testing
- Oversee workflow optimization for a team of physicians, APPs, and clinical staff, including facilitating daily huddles and managing patient flow
- Assess and validate clinical competency of team members performing injections, phlebotomy, rooming, and related tasks; precept new clinical staff
- Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, procedural scheduling, and supply inventory management
- Complete audits, rounding activities, and operational processes focused on throughput, patient experience, and value-based care metrics
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a technical/vocational program
- Active LPN, CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- 3+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong multitasking, triage, and independent problem-solving skills with demonstrated leadership initiative
