About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a Float Radiation Therapist for its Radiation Oncology program based out of Asheville, North Carolina, with flexibility to cover all Rad/Onc locations across the system. ### What you'll do - Deliver accurate radiation treatments by verifying physician prescriptions, treatment parameters, doses, and monitor units daily using the record and verify system. - Perform morning Quality Assurance on linear accelerators, ensuring equipment operates per physics policy and escalating malfunctions immediately. - Conduct all aspects of CT Simulation, including administering contrast agents under physician or non-physician practitioner direction. - Position patients consistently and reproducibly, identifying treatment volumes and monitoring clinical reactions throughout the treatment process. - Review all new patient starts for consistency, confirming positioning, field orientation, and treatment accessories prior to first treatment. - Participate in after-hours on-call coverage, perform 2D treatment calculations, and work with minimal supervision as required. ### What we're looking for - Associate's degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program (Bachelor's preferred). - Active ARRT Registered Technologist – Therapy (R.T.(T)(ARRT)) certification. - Current BLS/CPR certification. - 1+ year of experience as a radiation therapist (preferred). - Proficiency with linear accelerators, treatment planning simulators, electronic health records, and record and verify systems. - Working knowledge of radiobiology, ALARA radiation safety principles, and anatomical localization. ### What's included - Pay range: $30.28–$56.31/hour ($63,382–$117,125 annualized). - Sign-on bonus up to $10,000; relocation assistance up to $5,000. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - CME and career development resources; whole-person well-being and mental health support. ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care in body, mind, and spirit.
