About the Community
Spokane is Washington State's second-largest city, situated in the heart of the Inland Northwest at the crossroads of the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountain region — offering a cost of living well below Seattle while delivering a genuine urban amenity set including a vibrant downtown, nationally recognized hospital systems, strong public and private schools, and a thriving arts and restaurant scene. The surrounding region provides year-round outdoor recreation across four seasons: skiing at nearby Schweitzer and Mt. Spokane, hiking and cycling in the Selkirk and Cabinet ranges, and water recreation on the Spokane River and dozens of regional lakes. For clinicians seeking a high-quality lifestyle, a collegial mid-sized city, and proximity to both wilderness and culture, Spokane consistently ranks among the most livable metros in the Pacific Northwest.
