About this role

A Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A) role on the day shift at AdventHealth Waterman, a faith-based health system hospital in Tavares, Florida. ### What you'll do - Prepare rooms for new admissions, set up personal care items and vital sign equipment, and orient patients to their environment. - Assist patients with activities of daily living and respond to call lights according to scope of practice. - Transfer patients safely between beds, stretchers, and wheelchairs using proper lifting and transport techniques. - Document personal care, intake/output, vital signs, and weights accurately in the electronic medical record. - Collect and label bedside patient specimens and route them to the laboratory. - Serve as a liaison among patients, families, nursing staff, and medical personnel, reporting changes in patient status promptly. ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Active CPCT/A, CNA, or EMT certification required (one of the three). - BLS/CPR certification required. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology. - Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. - 1+ year of patient care experience preferred; CNA experience a plus. ### What's included - Pay range: $16.14–$24.87/hr ($33,571–$51,730 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off starting day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice AdventHealth Waterman is a full-service acute care hospital located in Tavares, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based nonprofit health systems in the United States.
