About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant (StaffFlex contract, full-time days) at AdventHealth supports an outpatient care pavilion in Land O Lakes, Florida. ### What you'll do - Room patients, obtain medical histories, record vital signs, and perform medication reconciliation at each visit - Manage front-office functions including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out - Complete chart preparation prior to visits, confirming lab, imaging, and referral documentation is in place - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary guidance, and administer prescribed medications and treatments - Respond to clinical telephone inquiries, triage calls appropriately, and assist with referrals and prior authorizations - Maintain regulatory compliance logs (CLIA), perform instrument cleaning and sterilization, and monitor supply and medication expiration ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred) - One of the following certifications preferred: CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA - Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems - Customer service experience in a medical office setting (preferred) ### What's included - Hourly rate: $26.60/hr (StaffFlex contract) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating outpatient and inpatient facilities across multiple states, with a strong presence in Florida.
