Nutrition Services Supervisor

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas is hiring a full-time Nutrition Services Supervisor to lead daily food service operations at its hospital campus. ### What you'll do - Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and cross-training to maintain efficient service station coverage across all meal periods - Oversee food production quality and safety compliance, including temperature log monitoring, sanitation schedules, and timely execution of service duties - Train staff on inspection criteria, equipment handling, emergency response protocols, and safe body mechanics - Communicate operational updates, audit results, and performance feedback to team members, patients, and leadership through verbal and written channels - Monitor and minimize overtime and agency use while supporting onboarding, mentoring, and staff development initiatives - Reduce food substitutions and maintain service continuity through proactive operational management ### What we're looking for - Minimum 2 years of food service or hospitality industry experience (3+ preferred) - Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a food service or related setting - Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) credential required - Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) designation preferred - Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; familiarity with CBORD software preferred - Associate degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus ### What's included - Pay range: $20.01–$37.21/hour ($41,621–$77,397 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is a faith-based acute care hospital located in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
