About this role

A Patient Food Service Host at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center in Lenexa, Kansas delivers patient meal service on a PRN night-shift basis within an inpatient hospital setting. ### What you'll do - Guide patients through meal ordering using a computerized diet office system, ensuring selections align with prescribed therapeutic diets - Verify patient identifiers at delivery, confirm tray accuracy, and ensure each patient has what they need before leaving the room - Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns, executing service recovery to improve patient experience scores - Assemble and deliver trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines and presentation standards across all patient care areas - Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment while performing physically active duties including extended standing and walking during shifts up to 12 hours ### What we're looking for - Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English (required) - Professional and efficient communication skills with patients and staff, both in person and by phone (required) - Comfort using common software and hardware including iPads and ToughBooks (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) - ServSafe Certification (preferred) - Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutritional services software (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $15.96–$25.54 per hour ($33,197–$53,123 annualized equivalent) - PRN / per-diem scheduling with night shift availability ### About the practice AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, not-for-profit health network focused on whole-person care.
