Certified Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant role at AdventHealth Primary Care Wekiva Springs, located in Apopka, Florida, supporting day-to-day clinical operations in an outpatient primary care setting. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the practice management system - Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate documentation at the time of service - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions - Maintain OSHA compliance and follow all safety processes and organizational policies - Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave - Mental health resources, well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Primary Care Wekiva Springs is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states.
