About this role

AdventHealth South Orlando is hiring a full-time Coding Inpatient Auditor to support revenue cycle integrity at its quaternary care facility in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform retrospective and concurrent quality reviews on coded inpatient records, validating ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG, and APR-DRG assignments - Write and submit appeals for DRG denials from external agencies, citing Official Coding Guidelines and Coding Clinic references - Provide continuing education to coding staff based on audit findings and regulatory updates - Review and interpret clinical documentation, seeking physician clarification when discrepancies exist - Prepare statistical accuracy reports tracking individual coder performance and overall coding quality - Maintain coding turn-around time within three days of discharge and sustain a 98% or better accuracy rate ### What we're looking for - 5+ years of inpatient or outpatient coding or auditing experience - Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC credential (one required) - Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, HACs, POA indicators, and CMI - Familiarity with risk adjustment, patient safety indicators, SOI/ROM, and value-based purchasing metrics - Proficiency with encoder software and Microsoft Office, including Excel - Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision ### What's included - Pay range: $26.29–$48.91/hr (~$54,683–$101,733 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth South Orlando is a quaternary care facility located at 601 E.
